Smoke for Mac is a video editing and effects software that combines the ease of timeline editing with the power of node-based compositing. We will start exploring this powerful software by create a new project and learn about the key settings. Next we will learn how to use the MediaHub to import footage and the how to organize with libraries and folders. From there we will create a rough edit, use the trim tools to refine our clips and begin adding effects in the timeline. Next we'll shift between our clips with the dissolve, wipe and axis transitions. Once we have our edit close to done, we'll jump into ConnectFX to modify our clips using powerful node-based compositing. We'll finish our project by doing a global color correct with gap effects and finally render our completed movie.
