Digital-Tutors : Texture Projection Techniques in MARI
This course will begin by discussing the basic workflow of projecting texture detail onto your geometry within MARI as well as important features and settings that you will want to be aware of at an early stage of your texturing process. From there, we will move into important topics such as mirroring painted details from one side of your geometry to the other, utilizing a multi-layered approach when creating our textures in MARI, looking at methods for seamlessly blending our textures together, as well as many additional tips, tricks, and techniques that you will be able to use within your own MARI projects.
1. Introduction and project overview 2. Opening a MARI archive 3. Using photographs as textures in MARI 4. Mirroring painted detail in MARI 5. Layering multiple texture channels in MARI 6. Aligning multiple texture projections in MARI 7. Identifying and fixing areas of texture stretching 8. Erasing and blending methods in MARI 9. Projecting to specified areas of MARI geometry 10. Adjusting the selection and display of MARI geometry 11. Baking shaders in MARI 12. Masking and painting channels in MARI 13. Masking with ambient occlusion in MARI 14. Using filters to create a bump map in MARI 15. Re-projecting existing texture details
