CG Cookie – Falling buttons with Box #2
CG Cookie – Falling buttons with Box #2
In this video for 3ds max, we’ll be back at Falling buttons tutorial series. This time we’ll create same scene using PFlow Box #2 and VRay.
Falling Buttons With Box 2 content:
Part 1: In Falling buttons with Box #2, we’ll be back at this series and this time we’ll re-do it using PFlow Box #2, or in case you have it 3ds max 2013 Extension you’ll be able to work on it with no problems because Orbaz Box #2 is included in 3ds max basic feature set. We’ll prepare a particle setup using MassFX particles features to make it colliding with the ground, we’ll see more in depth how to use new MassFX event as Birth grid, MassFX World, etc etc. Then we’ll start to prepare the rendering setup using VRay.
Part 2: In Part 2 of Falling buttons with Box #2, we’ll tweak the mParticles, (PFlow Box #2), setup trying to have a good amount of buttons falling down with right collisions and speed. Then we’ll tweak shaders and start playing with depth of field and motion blur with VRay if you’d like to output images with these fx applied on. Then we’ll prepare various render elements to export it in Fusion to control compositing in a better way, to add an ambient occlusion pass we’ll use State Sets feature in 3ds max too. Finalizing and effects will be applied in Fusion.
